A Fortune Teller’s Ball Halloween Tablescape
Join me this season for a Fortune Teller’s Ball Halloween Tablescape and decor Home Tour.
Happy Halloween everyone, I hope this little home tour finds you all safe in your humble abodes. This year I opted not to do a full fall home tour, but instead present you with A Fortune Teller’s Ball, Halloween Tablescape and Home Tour, just to mix things up a bit.If you have been following me for a while you may remember that last year we hosted a creepy “It’s Your Funeral” theme Halloween shindig complete with our very own mad scientist apothecaries style bar cart filled with potions. In hindsight, on the heels of my DIY on How to Build a Bat House I may have been a little too, on the nose for the upcoming 2020 year, or so it was pointed out to me.So in poking a little fun at myself I decided I would just host A Fortune Teller’s Ball for my Halloween Tablescape this year complete with tarot cards, ouija board, and palm reading, with hand sanitizer of course! My very own personal “Thing” has you covered! As a fun little side note, I will say that I do have a small touch of the gift, so to speak, but that would probably be pretty apparent given some of my selections last year. Sometimes I tell people things about their futures without even being aware that I am doing so at the time, so I will say its not exactly a skill that I have truly honed but we will just call it woman’s intuition for now.
Black Cat Theme:
The perfect sidekick for any good Fortune Teller or Witch is a black cat. Which if you know me, you know that I love my cats, and have an entire brood of them, like the true crazy cat lady that I am. So maybe that is really the Halloween theme this year, LOL!
As you can see, I have added touches of blacks cats all over my house this year, in every room. Even the kitchen has a few little spooky touches too.
This is the trick with a theme, if you can just subtly carry it throughout your home you can successfully do a theme with the very same decor you have stored away in tubs from the previous year, it is all about the focus and how you utilize the items.
Front Porch Decor for Trick or Treat:
Just to round out the Home Tour Portion for you Halloween lovers I thought I would give you guys a peek at my front porch as well, which also has the theme of black cats this year.We have added a few luminaries and jack o’lanterns, along with standard fall decor of cornstalks, mums and pumpkins. Along with glowing orange lights for that after dark Halloween curb appeal. This year my vintage crocks were used to house our mums for the season just to lend that old gypsy cottage looking feel you would expect for a fortune teller’s home. Even though the leaves still have not turned the pretty yellow, red and oranges here in northern Georgia, I still think the mix of the burgundy and jewel tones with the bright orange pumpkins have brought just the right amount of fall to this front porch for the season. I have learned over the years that sometimes we just have to create our own fall color pallet for the season when nature wants to hold out until November for the leaves to change here in the south.
You never seem to disappoint! This looks soooo amazing! I don’t really decorate for Halloween…I try to get the most out of my fall decor but this post might have me feeling different next year. You did an awesome job as usual! Thanks for the ideas & for sharing! 🤩
Love this!! The pumpkins on your porch are so cute!
Thank you, we love Halloween and used to throw huge Halloween costume parties during our 20’s & 30’s so we have collected a lot of Halloween decor, so it just right to still use what we have and own to celebrate, we just reimagine it now in new ways.
Thank you Burt’s Pumpkin Patch is always a fun thing we do every year in the fall it just gets us ready for the season!
