Strawberry Shortcake Bunny Cocktails/ Mocktails

This little Strawberry Shortcake Bunny Cocktails/Mocktails is sure to please all your guests of all ages.

This little cocktail is sure to please all your guests of all ages. It makes an impressive showing and is really super simple to make ahead of time and store in the refrigerator. That way you can easily pull them out of the refrigerator, add a quick garnish of whip cream, strawberry slice and serve.

Ingredients for Strawberry Shortcake Bunny Cocktails/Mocktails here is what I used for the adult version of the cocktail.

  • Lindt Hollow White Chocolate Bunnies-  For the Edible Glasses
  • Bailey’s Strawberries & Cream Liqueur (Note: you can use Strawberry NesQuik for a Mocktail Version for Kids)
  • Organic Strawberry Jam
  • Whipped Cream
  • Fresh Strawberries
  • Small Funnel
  • Cute Paper Straws

Just a fun tip, as I unwrapped my bunnies, I retained the cute little bows provided on the packaging by Lindt to reuse. I always find if you are already given a great resource, you should use it to your advantage. Like these bows, they are already sized to fit and saved me a ton of work, my guest will think I put more effort into these drinks but all I did was use what was already provided for me. You do not have to reinvent the wheel to get great results, and we should all really remember this sometimes. To get started slightly punch a small hole through the top of your white chocolate bunny. I recommend using a heated blade to make piercing the chocolate easier. This can be done with a knife, over a candle or with hot water. You will want to make sure that the diameter of your paper straw fits through your opening. This also is the perfect time to cut your straw template for the perfect length as well.
Once you have all you holes punched out, you can fill your bunnies. I would recommend chilling the liquids ahead since it will make the chocolate less likely to melt. In this process you will want to use a small funnel and pour slowly. For the Jam Glaze, add 1 Tablespoon of water to 2 Tablespoons of jam. This thins the jam to make adding into to funnel easy. Follow this layer with Bailey’s or NesQuik.
Then store the bunnies pre-filled in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve. The chocolate can hold up for a couple of hours. I really do not recommend doing this over night, you could have leeks. When you are ready to serve, add your straws cut to length, a dollop of whipped cream and a fresh cut strawberry for garnish.
