Southern Style Banana Nut Bread

  • Stand Mixer
  • Measuring Cups

  • 3 Ripe Bananas mashed up
  • 1 1/2 cups Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Butter room temperature
  • 1 can Spray Olive Oil to grease pan
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 cups Plain Flour sifted
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/4 Half & Half
  • 1 tsp Vanilla I recommend Caswell Massey Madagascar Vanilla it makes all the difference.
  • 1 cup Chopped Pecans you can use walnuts as an option


  • In your stand mixer cream together you butter and sugar for 2-3 minutes.
  • Next add in your slightly beaten eggs and half & half, continue to beat 2 more minutes.
  • Next slowly add in your dry ingredients until incorporated.
  • Once mixed turn off mixer and fold in mashed bananas and nuts with spatula.
  • Pour into your pre greased loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for 90 minutes.
  • Check for center doneness by inserting a toothpick into middle of bread, if it comes out clean the bread is done.
