Chex Mix (Oven Made Like Mom Used to Make)

Equipment

  • 1 baking sheet
  • 1 large air tight container with lid
  • 1 Measuring Spoons
  • 1 Measuring Cups
  • 1 Spatula

Ingredients

  • 6 tbsp Butter
  • 2 tbsp Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce®
  • 2 tsp Penzey's Season Salt®
  • 3/4 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
  • 3 cups Corn Chex® cereal
  • 3 cups Rice Chex® cereal
  • 3 cups Wheat Chex® cereal
  • 1 1/2 cups Mixed Nuts
  • 1/2 cups Pecans fresh
  • 1 cup Dot's Pretzels® broken in half
  • 1 cup Rye Chips

Instructions

  • Heat oven to 250°F.
  • Melt butter in microwave for 30 seconds. Stir in seasonings.
  • Mix all other dry ingredients in storage bowl with lid. Gradually stir in butter until evenly coated. Then spread onto a large baking sheet.
  • Bake for 1 hour, tossing & stirring every 15 minutes, with a spatula.
  • Spread onto paper towels to cool for 10 minute before storing in container with tight-fitting lid.
